Epcot is in a state of becoming. Even with major delays and cutbacks to Walt Disney World construction this year, Epcot’s France pavilion expansion moves forward. The highly-anticipated trackless dark ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, was supposed to open this summer. While the ride wasn’t able to meet its original opening date, it’s still on the path to completion. I went, for Attractions Magazine, on a high-flying journey over the job site to checkout the work being done.
I was particularly proud of the image above which captures the Ratatouille themed Skyliner cabin with the new construction in the background. With the sheer amount of Skyliner cabins in service, and the speed at which the cabins move, it was a perfect moment to grab the shot.
Thanks to the Disney Skyliner transportation that was added in 2019 I was able to partially fly-over this new area of construction. I captured this image of the new ride signage as well as numerous other shots of the area.
COVID-19 delayed the opening of the France Pavilion expansion, but it is certainly still on the way. In the meantime I have covered the unveiling of the signage and construction updates of the area, as well as the Ratatouille TikTok phenomenon that has brought even more hype to this attraction.
